Have a relaxed chat with other SEND parent/carers, share advice &make connections. SENDiass and professionals from various SEND services will be in attendance on selected dates. See individual posters below for more details.

* The wellbeing library will be open for use during the sessions! *

BIG in Mental Health

BIG, also known as Bury Involvement Group, is a local charity for people aged 18 and over, who are experiencing mental health conditions. No referral is required, you can just turn up at our groups. BIG is run by volunteers with lived experience of mental health conditions. Although based in Bury, people from any area can attend BIG. We are a strong independent voice in mental health.

Qwell is an online emotional wellbeing and mental health service, accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and delivered by Kooth Digital Health, the UK's largest digital mental health support service.

The service is available 365 days a year, providing free and anonymous access to preventative, early interventions and out-of-hours professional support which compliments the treatments available via other mental health services.

You can access:

  • Online messaging. Our messaging feature allows you to reach out directly to a professional. We also use messages to connect with someone who may need additional support.

  • Booked and drop-in chat. Our online chat functionality allows you to receive professional support through booked or drop-in sessions as and when you need it.

  • Therapeutic content. We have hundreds of pieces of therapeutic content created by our online community and professional content team.

  • Community support. Our peer to peer forums are moderated to maximise safety and allow people to discuss issues together in a facilitated environment.

  • Personal development tools. Our suite of self help tools offer the ability to create journals, track your mood and set goals.

  • All safe and anonymous. Qwell is an anonymous site which helps people to feel safe and confident in exploring their concerns and seeking professional support.
