Changing Places Toilets are high spec, gold standard disabled toilets for those with more profound disabilities. They include a changing table, and hoists for the use of carers. Disabled people and their families who need these toilets often use them to plan their days out and routes.
Bury Council is currently discussing a scheme and would like your views on where it would be best placed, see below:
Current proposals for location are Burrs Country Park and next to Ramsbottom Leisure Centre.
They are seeking views specifically from young people about the locations suitable? If not, alternative ideas with reasons why?
If you have any feedback please comment below or email bury2gether@gmail.com so we can pass this on.
For the first section of the revised Local Offer, the LA is looking for parent or carers who would be prepared to talk through their early experience of being new to SEND for other parents, to reassure them and point them in the right direction with helpful tips and advice.
If you are interested please email C.Atherden@bury.gov.uk
Bury Council's Local Offer website is being completely reviewed and rewritten. A series of workshops to look at different topics on the Local Offer have been arranged by Bury Council (please see below for the list). Parents/carers are invited to attend to help shape the content of the Local Offer pages. It's vital that parents attend to ensure the Local Offer information is written with parents/carers so that it provides the right information . A representative from BURY2GETHER is hoping to attend each meeting as well.
Below is a list of all the upcoming topics for discussion. If you would like to attend this workshop, or would like to be sent full details of the other workshops, please email SEND.localoffer@bury.gov.uk
