A set of wheelchair scales have been provided at Bury Central Library
They are free to use, no appointment needed
The scales are not staffed - just turn up, turn on and use
User instructions have been placed next to the scales
The scales have a digital display screen, so users can take a photo to record their weight
There is a folding seat for people who can weight bear and/or have some mobility
The library is open Tuesday-Saturday
Wheelchair access is via ramp outside Textile Hall
Automatic doors and a disabled toilet
Local transport links nearby
Pay and Display parking is available directly outside the library for up to 2 hours
Blue Badge holders have unlimited free parking outside the library
Blue Badge holders may park in any of the bays outside the library on Manchester Road, Moss Street and Silver Street (there are some raised bays outside St Marie's Church allowing easier access to the footpath)
